Delete your account
This page explains how to delete your CaptainPass account and the personal data linked to it. Deletion is permanent and cannot be undone.
Option 1 โ Delete it yourself in the app (fastest)
- Open the CaptainPass app and sign in.
- Go to Profile โ Delete account.
- Read the warning and confirm. Your account and data are removed immediately, with backend cleanup completing within 30 days.
Heads up: if you hold a paid spot in an upcoming game, the app asks you to cancel that spot first (you'll be refunded) before it lets you delete your account.

Option 2 โ Request deletion by email
If you no longer have the app installed or can't sign in, email us from the email address on your account:

We verify the request against your account email and complete the deletion within 30 days. We may ask one or two questions to confirm it's really you before deleting.
What gets deleted
- Your profile (name, email, phone, date of birth, gender, nationality, preferred sport, skill level).
- Your friends/connections and your player directory entry.
- Your wallet balance and credit history.
- You're removed from upcoming games. Reviews and replies you posted โ and your seat in games already played โ are anonymised (your name and account link removed) so other players' records stay intact.
- Your push-notification token and in-app notifications.
What we keep, and why
- Payment receipts and anti-fraud records โ retained for the period required by Omani accounting and tax law. These never contain your full card number.
- Anonymised analytics โ usage events that are not linked to your identity may be kept in aggregate.
